If sources are to be believed, television starlet Sumona Chakravarti would soon be seen on the big screen. She is apparently playing a key role in Kunal Kohli’s Phir Se that has another telly actress Jennifer Winget in the lead. But the fact that the makers have, so far, chosen to promote only Jennifer apparently hasn’t gone down well with Sumona.

A source says, “She has an important role in the film which has not been publicised at all. So far, only Kunal, who is making his acting debut, and Jennifer have spoken about the film and have featured on the posters. This has upset Sumona.” It is said that the actress has not only asked the makers to give her more visibility in the film, but is also looking through her fellow actress on the sets.

Sumona, however, denies the buzz saying: “I am happy with my role as it has turned out exactly the way it was narrated to me. Jennifer and I are also getting along well.”

Kunal says Sumona would be involved in the promotions at a later stage. “We have just started the promotions. When the time is right, we will promote her,” he adds.

Sumona was also seen in Barfi! (2012) and Kick (2014).
