Om Puri, who was last seen in the Lasse Hallstorm directed The Hundred-Foot Journey, will team up again with Steven Knight, the writer of the Steven Spielberg-produced drama.

“I spoke to Steven recently. He's working on another drama for which we will collaborate again. Since talks are still in the initial stages, I'm yet to get more details,“ the veteran actor told Mirror.

Puri got rave reviews for the film in which he played an Indian who moves to the South of France, opens a restaurant and starts a feud with a Michelin-starred restaurateur, played by Helen Mirren.

Meanwhile, the actor is also kicked about playing freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak in an upcoming biopic to be directed by Milan Ajmera who has previously made a biopic of Lal Bahadur Shastri. Said Puri, “He's a historic figure and I feel privileged to essay the role. Right now, I am in the middle of gathering as much information about Tilak. There's so much available online. We get into script reading next week.“

Asked how he plans to approach the character, Puri says, “It's not that challenging as we are talking about a real person and there are enough pictures and articles about him available. With the right amount of research and direction, I should be able to pull off the part with aplomb.“
