According to sources, “Sushant is currently preparing for two roles. One is Shekhar Kapur’s Paani, a futuristic love story based on Romeo and Juliet. The other is Neeraj Pandey’s biopic M S Dhoni - The Untold Story based on the Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.”

Rehearsals for Shekhar’s film started earlier. However, progress was somewhat limited by the absence of a supporting cast. Says a source, “Sushant was rehearsing for Paani for weeks when the Dhoni project also began and he had to begin pre-production work on that as well. Now he’s trying to keep the two characters separate even as he is completely immersed in them.”

To Sushant’s dismay, both the films are expected to be shot at around the same time. Adds our insider, “Yash Raj Films, the producers of Paani, have confirmed their shooting starts in July 2015. Dhoni will also be shot in the second-half of 2015.” Sushant has left the task of avoiding a clash of shooting dates between the two films to their directors. “Shekhar and Neeraj are trying to sort out the dates,” Sushant informs.
