Sadhana undergoes surgery

Yesteryears star Sadhana underwent surgery at the Asian Institute of Oncology in the KJ Somaiya Medical College campus in Chunabhatti on Wednesday.

Sources said that her surgery went on for over nine hours and surgical oncologist Dr Deepak Parikh operated on her.

Parikh refused to divulge any details. When contacted, all he would reveal is that his star patient is stable. When asked when she'd be discharged he said, "It's confidential information, something which I cannot reveal."

The 73-year-old recluse is rarely seen in public. After much convincing, the Woh Kaun Thi? star walked the ramp for Shaina NC's fashion show in May with Ranbir Kapoor to the tunes of Lag Ja Gale. This was her first fashion walk.

Known for her performances in films like Mere Mehboob, Mera Saaya and Waqt, she is still known for the Sadhana fringe which her husband RK Nayyar gave her for her first Hindi film, Love In Simla, modelled on his favourite Hollywood star Audrey Hepburn's hairstyle.
