KICK is the biggest opener of 2014 if real values are taken for
opening day collections. There are many factors that affect the opening
collections like a holiday (national holiday, restricted holiday,
regional holiday) and festivities like pre Diwali or Eid. Below are the
top ten openers of 2014 if all things are equal and were released on a
normal Friday.
Some films opened on big holidays while others were hit by
festivities. The performances of the days after release and how the
trends in different circuits should be if it was a normal release are
taken into account to arrive at the values.
Below are the opening day value is all films have had opened on normal Fridays. Some of the films have their actual values as they released on normal Friday while others have been adjusted.
