Last Thursday, Nandana Sen misplaced her wallet and passport while travelling to Kolkata from Mumbai. And guess who played knight to the damsel in distress? Prakash Jha! The actress, along with her Rang Rasiya co-star Randeep Hooda and director Ketan Mehta, was waiting for a flight to the City of Joy when she decided to get a caffeine fix at the airport's coffee shop. She did get her cuppa but boarded the flight minus her wallet and her travel documents, which she left at the café counter.

Nandana realised her mistake only when she checked into a hotel in Kolkata. She quickly informed Randeep and Ketan and also sent an SOS to her filmmaker friend, Prakash Jha. And Jha only had to wave his magic wand and Nandana had her 'lost' articles back in a jiffy.

Talking about the incident, the relieved actress said, “We were taking the early morning flight to Kolkata and all of us were somewhat groggy. I absentmindedly left my wallet behind and once I realised it was missing, I wondered who would know the police well. Within minutes of contacting Jha, Vijay Nath of the Central Industrial Security Force retrieved the wallet.“

Jha not only traced the wallet, he had it collected and kept it in his safe custody until it could be returned to its rightful owner.

With her documents retrieved, Nandana will return to the US this week.The actress settled in New York after marrying publishing tycoon John Malkinson last year. Her doting husband is sure to be grateful to Jha for his timely assistance because without her documents, Nandana's brief visit could have become a long stay.
