Now that Ungli is out, Emraan Hashmi will be engrossed
with his upcoming sci-fi film Mr.X. While the first look from the film
had created a buzz that he is playing a mutant, Emraan asks people not
to judge the film from the first look. “The film is not in that space at
all. That look is there for just 10 minutes in the film. It is the look
before the character becomes Mr X.”
Ask him what the basis of the film is and Emraan says it’s a film where a lot of bad and unfair things are shown to have happened to him. “Suddenly this man gets some superpower where he becomes invisible and he can be seen only in a certain kind of light. After becoming invisible, he decides to take on all the bad guys. There is a lot of VFX and 3D and it is a completely different kind of a science fiction film. I would call this 21st century’s Mr India. It brings in a darker, more edgier and naughtier kind of Mr India to the table.”
Initially, scheduled for a January release, the film has been postponed and now might release only around April-May. Emraan clarifies, “We thought the special effects will be done by January but it is not just about erasing someone when they go invisible. There is a lot of particle effect which makes the scene look stunning.”
