Salman Khan’s sister Arpita ties the knot with Aayush Sharma on November 18 — a date on which Salman Khan apparently planned to get married aeons ago. In the past, the star has admitted that he came close to marriage once.

Interestingly, Salman and filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala were to wed on the same day so that they could celebrate their marriage anniversaries together.

Sajid says, “We have been friends for more than 20 years. In 1999, we had decided to get married, which unfortunately didn’t happen that year. I got married in 2004, but on the same day.” Sajid, however, didn’t divulge which of his girlfriends Salman almost married on that day.

Incidentally, Arpita’s wedding, was initially planned for 2015, but Salim Khan insisted on making it earlier and get his youngest daughter wed the same day he did. Salim and Salma Khan celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on November 18. So besides Arpita’s wedding, there will also be their golden jubilee celebrations as well.
