Alia unwell, advised rest
The country-hopping schedule of Vikas Bahl's film has left Mahesh Bhatt's daughter in poor health.

After Priyanka Chopra (Mirror, November 26), it's now Alia Bhatt whose health is reeling under a packed schedule. The gruelling timetable of Shaandaar and the extreme cold in the UK and Poland has left Alia bedridden.

Mirror has learned that Alia returned home on Sunday and headed straight to the bed with high fever.

On Wednesday, her condition worsened and her doctor prescribed multiple tests to get to the root of the problem.

Buzz was, Alia had contracted appendicitis and was down with acute stomachache.

When contacted yesterday afternoon, a worried Mahesh told Mirror that they were waiting for the reports.

Later in the evening he cleared the air, saying, "Alia is feeling better. There is no cause for worry. All tests are clear. It was just fever and hyper acidity. Appendicitis has been ruled out."

Goes without saying that the 21-year old will be out of action for a few days.

A source close to the film revealed, "Alia was unwell for the past week, but she continued to shoot. Now that the schedule has ended, she can get some rest."
