A Kool comeback

The Kya Kool Hain Hum franchisee is getting ready for a third instalment and the makers have roped in yet another debutant director. Mirror has learnt that Umesh Ghadge who assisted David Dhawan on films like Main Tera Hero, Chashme Baddoor and Rascals will be directing Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3.

Umesh confirms this, saying, "It is a hilarious script which is in the same space as the earlier two films but with a fresh storyline. We start shooting in January with a 40-day shoot in Thailand."

Since he is taking over the reins of a successful franchise, has he spoken to the directors of the two earlier films, Sangeeth Sivan and Sachin Yardi? "No, I have seen these films but haven't met any of the directors. I want to bring my own perspective to the franchisee."

They will also be launching a new girl in this film. "She is someone I auditioned and Ekta immediately approved of. Don't ask me to reveal her identity yet, all I can tell you is that we are really excited," he asserts.

While Tusshar Kapoor toplines the cast, his co-star Riteish Deshmukh has made way for Aftab Shivdasani.
