It is known that Abhishek Sharma's comedy caper, The Shaukeens, stars Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, Lisa Haydon and Akshay Kumar in his most special appearance to date. And, it has now been revealed that the makers have added to the excitement and curiosity by including a host of other prominent stars too.

Abhishek Bachchan is doing a hilarious cameo in the film. The director says, “Bachchan Junior has impeccable comic timing and that's what we have explored in the brief role that he has done.“ Incidentally, Abhishek did his cameo in one single take.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also features in a friendly appearance. The scene required a certain attitude and Sharma felt that Bebo would be perfect for it.“Kareena has an aura about her that's unmistakable,“ says he. “I just had to tell her the tone of the scene once and she gave me six different variations. That's why she is such a fine actor.“

There is also actor Suniel Shetty in a guest role. At one point, Akshay and Suniel were known for doing a number of films together. “Akshay and I share a deep bond of friendship,“ says Suniel.“When they told me about the scene, I found it refreshingly different. That's why I had to do it.“

Of course, the real coup the makers managed to pull off is when they convinced Dimple Kapadia to do a cameo. This will be the first time that the senior actress will be seen in a film starring her son-in-law Akshay. The actress relives the experience saying, “I laughed when Akshay told me what the scene was. It was just too tempting for me to refuse it.“

The Shaukeens, produced by Cine1 Studios, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions, releases November 7.
