Travelling the length and breadth of Mauritius became a regular thing for the star cast of The Shaukeens. On one particular day, Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Lisa Haydon had to travel to three different locations for three different scenes. Each location was nearly two hours away from the other and the actors were literally rushing through the day. At the end of all this frenzy, Anupam and Lisa were required to drink wine for a particular scene. Usually, actors stick to mock drinks while filming so that they don't get tipsy. The original plan in this case, too, was to get the actors to have cranberry juice for the shoot. However, Lisa and Anupam decided to actually have red wine instead. And they ended up drinking three to four glasses each. A source says, “Luckily, it was the last scene for the day. So, no one noticed that the actors were actually in high spirits.“
