What happens when Pankaj Kapur's hair and make-up person fails to show up on the sets of Shandaar, which the actor is filming with son Shahid Kapoor in Leeds, UK? Well, the doting son makes up for the missing make-up dada.

Mirror has learnt that's exactly what transpired on location when Kapur Sr had to shoot a pivotal scene with Sasha.

Revealed a source, "Minutes before the shot was to be canned, Pankaj's hair and make up person was nowhere to be found. It was a scene which required him to have a trimmed beard. When his usual guy - whom Pankaj trusts a lot with the scissors - didn't turn up, there was only one person who could do the job - his son. Alia, who was present in the van, shot this candid picture while Shahid was doing the trim."

Confirming this, the film's director Vikas Bahl said: "Shahid was committed to get his dad's look right in the film. It was a beautiful father-son moment."

Shandaar, a destination wedding film, has Shahid and Alia playing wedding planners who are insomniacs. The film will mark the debut of Shahid's younger sister, Sanah Kapoor.
