Enlarge ImagePriyanka Chopra has worked with Salman and Shah Rukh Khan, the two other Khans — Aamir and Saif — have eluded her. But now, buzz is Saif and she have been approached by producers to come together for their films.

Says a source, “PC was offered Race 2, Cocktail and other films opposite Saif, but due to dates and other commitments, she had to bow out. There was even talk of them signing up for Prabhu Dheva’s next film, but that didn’t happen. Happy Ending would’ve been hers but she cited date clashes with Barfi! and Gunday. Apparently, those in the know feel that PC was reluctant about signing films with Kareena Kapoor’s man. After working in Aitraaz, Bebo and PC never hid their dislike for ach other. Both kept taking digs at each other on public shows.”

But now that rivalry is a thing of the past. “Bebo and Priyanka are friends today. In fact Kareena recently told us she was doing something for PC at her request.”

Buzz is that two different production houses are trying to get Saif and PC together. One is an intense love story, the other is a light-hearted romcom story. It’s all very hush-hush and the actors have been asked not to talk about it. Both the actors are reading the scripts. They have each been told who the other star is and neither has any issues with it.

But ask Saif and he insists, “I haven’t been approached by anyone yet.” Priyanka remained unavailable for comment.
