Yami Gautam can't wait to get her new pup, Polo, to Mumbai. The 50-day-old pup is currently in her parents' home in Chandigarh and the actress plans to get him to the city only after Diwali, as crackers and loud noise during the festival work as a deterrent for pets. In fact, she was so excited about her pup that after the Austrian schedule of Action Jackson, she directly headed to her hometown. The actress revealed, “My parents are pet lovers, too and have adopted him from a pet care institute. He was the reason I made a quick trip to Chandigarh.“

Yami says her pup reminds her of the mischievous labrador in Marley & Me, though he is not of the same breed or colour. “Polo is just like Marley - he nibbles on our rubber slippers and hides things he's not too fond of.“
