Business partners, Virendra K Arora and Arjun N Kapoor, have expanded their horizons having ventured into film production and have collaborated with tennis legend, Mahesh Bhupathi. The sportsman-turned- entrepreneur, who heads the Big Daddy Productions, has entered into a joint venture to produce a slew of films.
The first film is Abhi Nahi Toh Kabhi Nahi, which is a family comedy with a ensemble cast of nine principal artists starring Pankaj Kapur, Lara Dutta, Kay Kay Menon and Rajeev Khandelwal, with four actors whose names are highly confidential for the moment and finally, will also be introducing a new face to the film world. The project is currently in the pre- production stage and is slated to released in November-December 2015 in collaboration with a leading studio.
The next in the pipeline are a musical love story titled Tamanna Radio Company and a romcom titled Match Fixing. Also, followed by an emotional thriller to be directed by a National Award-winning director is set to be launched in the next two months.
Kapoor is confident about the collaboration with the sports star. The producer says, “We, as a production house, want to clearly maintain a fine balance between rich content as well as the business of film- making which will be in collaboration with leading studios and top production houses of the industry. Our focus is also on delivering superior content and films that draw the cinema loving people into the theatres.”
