Eyesore for Bhansali

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's historical romance, Bajirao Mastani, has hit its first road-block. Shooting for the film began early last week on an elaborate set in Film City. But it ground to an abrupt halt yesterday as one of the film's leading ladies Priyanka Chopra, who plays Kashibai, caught an eye infection.

Revealed a source close to the actress, "There were some elaborate scenes to be shot with Priyanka. Prep began early morning and everything was in place, but the heroine was nowhere to be found. A few calls revealed that Priyanka Chopra had been diagnosed with conjunctivitis and could not report for work."

So where does this leave Ranveer Singh who has shaved off his hair for the role? Added the source, "Ranveer who tore a ligament while filming an action sequence can rest too. The unit has two days off for Diwali. Shooting will resume only after the festival by which time both the actors should be up and raring to go."
