The Fault In Our Stars was originally a best-selling book written by John Green in 2012 that was adapted into an English book by the same name in 2014. The English book went on to become the biggest grosser at the box office. The original film is about a young girl who is a cancer patient, who is forced by her parents to attend a support group, where she subsequently meets and falls in love with a young boy, who has also suffered from cancer. We were the first to tell you that the Hindi adaptation of the film was being made and that Homi Adajania would direct it. We have now exclusively learnt that Varun Dhawan and Deepika Padukone have given their consent to be a part of the film. We also learnt that while the story would remain of two youngsters, who are terminally ill patients of cancer who fall in love, the USP of the Hindi adaption would be the the humour with which the heavy subject will be dealt with. Both the actors would need to drop a few years of age in terms of their looks and will start shooting in March 2015.
