Salman tunes in to his past

Salman Khan has acted in several blockbusters, but it seems that Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, directed by his one-time friend Sanjay Leela Bhansali and costarring Aishwarya Rai, remains close to his heart. Mirror has learnt that late on Thursday night, Salman made a call to Sajid-Wajid, summoning the composers to ND Studio in Karjat, where he is shooting a reality show. "Let's rework Dholi Taro for Bigg Boss," the actor told a bemused Wajid.

Dholi Taro, the hit garba track from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, was originally composed by Ismail Darbar. Fifteen years later, it's still a favourite during Navratri celebrations.

Revealed a source close to the channel, "The creative team of the reality show suggested that Salman re-record some of his chartbusters. Excited by the idea, he immediately came up with a list of favourites that he wanted to sing. Dholi Taro topped that list." The source informed that a make-shift studio has been erected close to the sets, all with a recording equipment.

"The musicians reached here on Friday evening and the recording went on for over two hours," added the source.

Not only Dholi Taro, Sajid-Wajid have been told to rework Jalwa from Prabhu Dheva's Wanted as well.

Confirming the same Wajid told Mirror, "Yes, we are recording Dholi Taro with Salman bhai right now. I cannot reveal any more details."
