Chaloo Saif to woo Richa

Mirror (June 4) was the first to break the news that Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut are teaming up for Reema Kagti's upcoming film, Mr. Chaalu, to be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Now, we have learnt that Richa Chadha has been roped in for a pivotal role.

Revealed a source close to the production, "Richa plays one of the women Saif's character, a smooth player, encounters. She has a strong romantic angle with Saif. She plays a quintessential Mumbai girl and her role has elements of dark humour."

Interestingly, the actress has previously worked with the same banner in the 2013 sleeper hit, Fukhrey. Richa who is currently shooting for Sudhir Mishra's next, Aur Devdas, couldn't be reached for a comment.

But the film's producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed the news. He told Mirror, "Yes, Richa is on board. We share a fantastic working relationship. As of now, not much can be revealed about the character. All I can say is that it's an important part. Wait to get surprised."

Mr. Chaalu will go on floors in January next year and is looking at a 2016 release.
