MARY KOM grossed a decent 7.50 crore nett on day one with multiplexes
showing good figures while single screens were poor. The film is
depending on metro multiplexes which should grow further today while
business in mass circuits is below the mark. The huge volume of
screenings at multiplexes also helped in putting up good totals at
multiplexes.
The high end multiplexes across all metros gave a good contribution while business in UP, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI, Bihar and Gujarat was dull. In these areas business was similar to last week's RAJA NATWARLAL which was a dud.
The film has fetched a decent price for its all India theatrical rights and then wherever it has been sold and needs to get a lifetime figure of 55-60 crore nett to cover. So, a good growth is imperative today.
