Vivaan Shah has industry stalwarts Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah for parents. Ask him about his parents’ influence on his career, and he remarks, “Everything I know and everything I am is because of them. I have worked so much with them that I got to learn the theories of acting quite nicely from them. But it is also important to work with other people and experience the outside world. Working with Shah Rukh Khan was an eye-opener. Everything that my mom and my dad have taught me about acting in theory, Shah Rukh sir has helped me implement them practically. I got to learn a lot from my dad, but by working with SRK, I learned to apply that theory into my craft.”
