Rumours of Sussanne Khan demanding Rs 400 crore as alimony from Hrithik Roshan spread like wildfire on the social media. The topic trended in no time and some were prompt enough to even crack jokes on Sussanne's alleged demand. While these reports were rubbished by sources close to the couple, who separated last December, Hrithik himself used a social networking platform to say, “Fabricated news articles. Demeaning my loved ones. Testing my patience." Sussanne hasn't commented yet.

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan’s lawyers have denied recent news reports saying that the latter has demanded a whopping Rs 400 crore as alimony. Advocate Dipesh Mehta, who filed the divorce petition for the couple, says, “It is unfortunate that false and baseless reports are being circulated in the media. Having acted as their common lawyer, I can tell you that they are two mature people and responsible parents. The financial matters between them are their personal issues and people should give them their privacy and peace.’’ Mrunalini Deshmukh, Sussanne’s lawyer, too said that the Rs 400 crore alimony report was just a rumour.
It may be pointed out that Hrithik and Sussanne have cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind their split. Sussanne has been living separately since January last year. In April this year, the two decided to dissolve their marriage by mutual consent. It is being said that the two have agreed on an out of court settlement.
While the primary custody of the children will remain with Sussanne, the consent terms in the divorce petition apparently say the couple shall not have any right whatsoever on each other’s properties and assets.
