ENTERTAINMENT grossed around 8.90 crore nett on its first day as it had decent opening in some circuits but business at multiplexes hit it badly almost all over. The better collections came in North and Central markets.

The re instatement of tax in Rajasthan means a 20 lakhs odd loss straight way for this type of mass film. Despite being one of the better circuits the circuit figure is just around 60 lakhs nett which is lowest for Akshay Kumar starrer in last few years outside JOKER. Released a couple of weeks back it would have been 80 lakhs nett in Rajasthan which would make it a top five opening in Rajasthan for 2014.

After Rajasthan the best collections were East Punjab and CI. The film will be relying on a big jump in multiplexes on Saturday but it may be tough as if there was to be a major turnaround it should have started on Friday evening.
-----------------------
KICK fell at the beginning of its third week as it grossed around 1.25 crore nett on its third Friday. The release of ENTERTAINMENT meant a huge loss of screen time across the country. The film looked to be going over 220 crore nett for lifetime business but will now have to settle for 215 plus lifetime total.

The business is now around 205 crore nett and it is closing in on the 208 crore nett of CHENNAI EXPRESS which is the second highest grossing film of all time. It should surpass the business of CHENNAI EXPRESS by the end of its third weekend.

The film will surpass DHOOM 3 in a couple of circuits though in Nizam/Andhra, Mysore and Tamil Nadu /Kerala the business will stay below CHENNAI EXPRESS though all India business will be higher.
