The Chopra sisters seem destined to collide yet again... and on the same date no less. Last year, on September 5, first cousins, Priyanka Chopra (Zanjeer) and Parineeti Chopra (Shuddh Desi Romance) collided at the box office. Back then, Parineeti laughed her way to the bank.

The latest is that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-Viacom18 production Mary Kom’s release is being pre-poned. The biopic was earlier scheduled for October 2. But with Hrithik Roshan-starrer Bang Bang and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider occupying the coveted four-day weekend Gandhi Jayanti and Dusshera, Mary Kom is being rush-released on September 5... the same Friday as Parineeti’s long-awaited Daawat-e-Ishq.

The sudden arrival of Mary Kom on September 5 has taken the Daawat-e-Ishq team by surprise. A source from Yash Raj Films unofficially said, “We have no clue about this. We announced our release many months ago. So whoever chooses to jump in now, is doing so out of the queue. Our best wishes to them.”
