After enjoying a successful run as a producer this year, Sajid Nadiadwala is set for his directorial debut, Kick.

During the first half of 2014, he produced three distinctly different films under his banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd. While Highway was critically acclaimed, 2 States entered the Rs 100-crore club. Heropanti was also well-received at the box office. Even though he is known to work only with established actors, this year saw Sajid roping in young talent like Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor and newbies Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon.

With Kick, which releases this Eid, he has taken up the reins as a director as well. Says Sajid, “It has been a successful year for us. I am extremely nervous and excited about my directorial debut. I have been a creative producer for 27 years, but I still feel like a newcomer as far as Kick is concerned."

Featuring high-octane stunts, VFX and shot at picturesque locations, the film's trailer received five million views in 59 hours and has now crossed the 10-million mark.
