HUMSHAKALS had a big growth on Sunday as it collected around 14 crore nett giving it a total of 35.60 crore nett plus. The collections for the weekend are decent and the trend is good with Sunday showing solid growth all over. The collections were up 25% on Sunday.

The initial could have been a bit better but to have a 35 crore nett plus figure from the initial it got is very good. The figures are slightly lower than HOLIDAY - A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY due to single screens where Akshay Kumar has that initial draw. In Mysore the film has collected more than  HOLIDAY - A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY.

There will not be much of a problem covering costs as comedies get a good satellite rate and the film is shot in UK. Hence, there is the rebate of shooting there which will amount to a sizeable amount as the film has production budget of 50 crore plus. Now it will be Monday and Tuesday that will decide where the final theatrical business will end up.
-------------------------
HOLIDAY - A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY is closing in on the number one grosser of the year JAI HO as it takes its seventeen day total to nearly 104.85 crore nett with a 5.80 crore nett third weekend.

The film could beat JAI HO at the end of the third week but if it does not it is sure to beat in in the fourth weekend. The film has seen a 70% drop in the third weekend compared to 53% in the second weekend due to the release of HUMSHAKALS.

It will be a similar drop in the third week as another major film EK VILLAIN releases which means a 112 crore nett lifetime finish. The final business will be in the same range as Akshay Kumar's HOUSEFULL 2.
