Last Saturday, an awkward moment was averted at a party thrown at a Juhu hotel by Pahlaj Nihalani to celebrate Shatrughan Sinha's win in the recent Lok Sabha election.
Former in-laws, Rakesh Roshan and Sanjay Khan, were on the guest list but the two made it a point to arrive at the party at different times, making sure they don't bump into each other. While Rakesh came in with buddy Jeetendra at 9.15 pm, Sanjay Khan made his entry only around 11 pm and by that time, Rakesh had already left the venue. Things have become slightly unpleasant between the Roshans and the Khans ever since Hrithik and Sussanne filed for divorce on April 30. The two families had tried their best to prevent the couple from going their separate ways, but failed to do so.

A source present at the party said: “The guests were waiting eagerly for Rakesh and Sanjay to come face-toface, expecting drama. But the two threw a wet blanket on that. The veterans had planned their arrival in a way to avoid each other."

Among others present at the party were Ramesh Sippy, Rajkumar Santoshi and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Hema Malini, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Suniel Shetty and Prem Chopra.
