The audience identified with the film's strong patriotic message on how to tackle terrorist sleeper cells. The Akshay-Murugadoss combination has worked, just like the South Indian director's previous combination with Aamir Khan worked in Ghajini (2008).

As for Akshay, well he has had Rs 100-cr successes in Rowdy Rathore, Housefull 2 and now, Holiday.
