HOLIDAY - A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY has grossed 87 crore nett in ten days as the second weekend has added around 19 crore nett. The second week could hit 30 crore nett and take the film near the 100 crore nett mark.

The film is sure to be the highest grossing film of the year. Though there is a heavy flow of releases from Friday onwards, it should manage to do around 10-15 crore nett to go a bit over the 110 crore nett mark.
If the film does manage to go 30 crore nett in Week 2, then it will join an elite list of 11 films which have managed this feat. ROWDY RATHORE and HOUSEFULL 2 are two other Akshay Kumar starrers in the list.

FUGLY, meanwhile, could not make a mark at the box office as it collected 7.25 crore nett in its first weekend. The film did average business in the North but fared badly in the rest of the circuits especially Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Nizam. The film could also not grow much on Saturday and Sunday.

The film has low costs and so even if it managed around 10 crore nett over the weekend it would have been a decent result of the film. Also there has been a trend over the last few years that the smaller films tend to do well in the Feb-May period while very few have have done well in the June-Dec period.

The other releases of the week like 18.11 A CODE OF SECRECY, CHAL BHAAG, MACHHLI JAL KI RANI HAI, NARI TERI SHAKTI ANOKHI and UNFORGETTABLE were all very dull with only MACHHLI JAL KI RANI HAI having some collections due to the horror factor.
