Sabbir Khan considers himself fortunate to worked with Hollywood have action star Sylvester Stallone in his directorial debut, Kambakkht Ishq.

And now, he is equally impressed with Vikram Singh, who plays the antagonist in his upcoming film Heropanti. The director even calls him a 'desi Stallone'. Vikram will play a loud Haryanvi Jat named Rajjo Fauji, explains Sabbir, adding, “He is perfect for this role because of his impressive physique and screen presence."

When Vikram came for the audition, Sabbir saw in him a slight resemblance to Stallone. During the shoot, the director would address Vikram as `Sly' and `Rocky'. Like the Holly wood superstar's character in Rocky - that of a boxer - Vikram is a trained boxer from New Zealand.

The actor, also called Locovicky, is humbled by the comparison. “It was a huge honour for me to be nicknamed `Sly' by Sabbir, as I am a big fan of Stallone and consider him my idol," he says.

Heropanti releases tomorrow.
