Having lost the Lok Sabha elections, Prakash Jha intends to resume work on his next project — a cop drama to be re-scripted according to experiences during his election campaign.

The film was written as a big-ticket blockbuster with bravura bursts of drama and action. But that has changed now, “After spending three months in villages that have no water and electricity, I’ve lost my appetite for artifice,” says Prakash who made Damul about the grass-root reality in Bihar.

He says, “I’ve seen life at the grass-roots level from close quarters. After sharing the experiences of people at the lowest level, I feel I am more equipped to express my social concern through cinema.”
