Ever since Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bling, to be directed by Prabhu Dheva, was announced, speculation has been rife about who the leading lady would be.

While Sonakshi Sinha is said to be the director’s favourite — she has worked with him in films like Rowdy Rathore, R… Rajkumar and Action Jackson — a reliable source tells us that he has approached Katrina Kaif this time around. “Akshay and Katrina have done six films together, apart from a cameo in Blue. Their chemistry has always been appreciated. The duo’s last outing was Tees Maar Khan (2010), and it will be interesting to see them pair up on screen again,” says our source.

Ashvini Yardi, who’s producing the film in association with Akki, says, “Akshay and Katrina have given big hits together and their fans have been asking us to get them back. However, Prabhu is still working on the script and we haven’t approached anyone yet.”
