Mumbai is often dubbed the city of dreams. And if you're one with celluloid dreams, Mumbai is the unofficial capital, being home to the largest film industry in the world. But contrary to popular belief, if you're in Mumbai for spotting stars, you are in for a tough ride. And not just because they're barricaded by homes with towering walls or circled by an army of body guards . There's a more fundamental problem: they're hardly there. Be it film shoots, award functions, film promotions or just a holiday to avoid the media glare, the B-town boys have spent minimum time in Maximum City this year. Here's a quick glimpse of their travel calender so far:

SHAH RUKH KHAN
JAN After a family holiday to bring in the New Year, King Khan got busy working on his next film Happy New Year in Mumbai.
FEB In February SRK whizzed off to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the Temptations concert.
MAR Despite his packed schedule, he flew down to Chennai for the music launch of Kochadaiiyaan.
APR In the first week of April, SRK was invited to Delhi to be felicitated by the Korean Embassy as a goodwill ambassador. He then headed to Abu Dhabi for the launch of IPL Season 7 and stayed on to watch the first match. He frequently jetted to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah thereafter to cheer for his team Kolkata Knight Riders between shooting for his film in Mumbai.


AAMIR KHAN
JAN Coaxed by wife Kiran Rao, Aamir headed to Finland early this year for a solo holiday.
FEB-MAR To promote his TV show Satyamev Jayate, Aamir travelled across the country to places like Gaya, Kochi, Kanpur, Bhopal, Delhi, to name a few.
APR He attended an award function in Delhi following which he went off to Istanbul and later to Panchgani for some R&R with wife Kiran Rao.


SAIF ALI KHAN
JAN Saif's year began with a holiday to Switzerland and London for his annual New Year break.
FEB The Nawab was stationed in Mauritius for Sajid Khan’s Humshakals.
MAR Kabir Khan’s action-thriller Phantom had ensured the actor spent most of his March in Punjab.
APR He took off with begum Kareena Kapoor to Tampa Bay in Florida for an awards show.
MAY Saif stayed back in the US for the shooting of his home production Happy Ending in San Francisco and Los Angeles. 


FARHAN AKHTAR
JAN-MAR 
The rocker in Farhan  ensured he spent the  first few months of the  year on tour, performing live in places like  Ranchi, Roorkee, Bangalore, Kolkata, Belgaum, Allahabad, Guwahati, Singapore, Dubai and Hong Kong. He  also went across India  to promote his film  Shaadi Ke Side Effects and even flew down to Bangladesh to catch the India VS Pakistan cricket match.
APR He went to Tampa Bay for an awards show and stayed on to perform live in Houston, Texas.


SHAHID KAPOOR
JAN Shahid began the year by travelling to Kashmir to shoot for Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider.
FEB To bring in his birthday, he flew to Goa with a few close friends.
APRIL Shahid may not be nominated for many categories, but he did fly down to the US for an awards function in Tampa Bay.
APRIL After working hard in the first few months, Shahid decided to let his hair down and jetted off for a holiday to Madrid, Spain. 


RANVEER SINGH
JAN After spending the New Year in New York, he spent the month in Delhi shooting with Parineeti Chopra, Govinda and Ali Zafar .
FEB He travelled across India to promote a film with Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
