Suniel Shetty is a harrowed man. He is apparently being harassed by
two producers who had signed him on for a film and are now demanding
that he return his signing amount to each one separately.
Until recently, producers Anita Vimal and Hemendra Singh Solanki were partners of a production house. Sources say that the two partners had approached Suniel Shetty to be a part of their project. But just a week before the commencement of the shoot, there was a falling out between the two paers and the film’s shoot was cancelled.
Solanki then sold the project to a new production house, 07 Applaud Films, but that production house too later canned the project. Now Suniel has realised that that Solanki is apparently conducting auditions for the film in Udaipur and is also taking money from investors for the project.
A source close to the actor says, “Suniel agreed to do the project with Solanki and Vimal because the subject was interesting. He was paid a sum of Rs 21 lakh as the signing amount. Then there were differences between the partners and the film fell through. The new people who came on board convinced Suniel to stay on even though he had no dates to spare. Now both the old partners are harrassing the actor as they want him to return the signing amount separately. Each claims that it was his money that was offered to the actor.”
When contacted, Suniel Shetty said, “Yes, it’s true. I am having troubles with this production house. I feel like a ping- pong ball being tossed around by both the partners. Moreover, I have lost my dates because of them. I will now leave it to CINTAA (Cine and TV Artiste’s Association), that’s how it works in our industry. The association will decide what needs to be done now.”
