After making a cool comeback with English Vinglish two years ago, Sridevi is surging ahead in her second showbiz innings. The actress has now signed not one but two films. Mirror has it that the actress will first start shooting in September for a Tamil film produced by Shebu and Selvaraj. Buzz is, Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan and South star Vijay will also feature in it. Set in Chennai it is a fantasy flick with Sridevi in a major role. Next in line is a women oriented subject in Hindi helmed by Ravi Udyawar (of RU Films), a renowned Southern ad filmmaker. This film which will be shot in Delhi, will go on floors in October and will be produced by her husband Boney Kapoor. Kona Venkat who has written the story of Ravi’s film, says, “I bumped into Sridevi and Boney Kapoor in Manhattan. We got talking and I sketched out this story to them. They were interested. After a few days, I met Sridevi again to give her an official narration.” The story revolves around an independent, married woman. The movie is a trilingual and will be made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. "But the Hindi version is the main one. The rest of th cast will be decided soon,” adds Venkat.
