 We were the first to report that Lisa Haydon has been approached for Shaukeen after Nargis Fakhri’s exit from the film, a remake of Basu Chatterjee’s 1982 hit. We can now confirm that the actress has finally signed on the dotted line.

 She will play Akshay Kumar’s girlfriend, whom three old men — played by Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra — will be seen lusting after. Producer Murad Khetani confirmed the news, saying, “The way Lisa essayed her role in Queen made her the most suitable choice for our film. She has the required spunk and oomph. The shoot with her will start on April 16.”
