The trailer of Main Tera Hero was liked, though it didn’t catch on big time. But the songs have worked wonderfully for the film, especially the ‘Palat’ track (despite its similarities with Jahan Teri Yeh Nazar Hai). And thanks to the album, the film became a hot product and as it releases tomorrow, it is expected to have a great run at the box office.

Main Tera Hero is the second film of Varun Dhawan, after he charmed many in his debut film Student Of The Year. He is paired with Ileana DCruz and Nargis Fakhri, who look sizzling hot. What makes Main Tera Hero stand out is the fact that Varun is shown romancing two girls at the same time and both girls apparently know about it as well and yet have no qualms! It’s directed by David Dhawan, also Varun’s father and he too has a loyal fan base that’ll surely come out in hordes to catch the film. And like most David Dhawan films, the film has its share of naughtiness but it never crosses line and gets into adult comedy territory.

Opening of the film should be moderate and it might be huge as well. But after that, it’ll be the content that will speak. If word of reaction is positive, Main Tera Hero can prove to be a big hit.

The other release of the week is Jal, starring Purab Kohli, Kirti Kulhari and Tannishtha Chatterjee. The film has been screened at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival and International Film Festival of India. As the name suggests, it’s about water and deals with the issues of water scarcity and water mafia in Kutch. The film has a fine balance of artistic as well as commercial elements. But at the same time, it seems too filmy and also, it seems the intimate scenes are forcibly incorporated to lure the frontbenchers. Obviously, Jal will have a tough time at the box office but again, a positive word of mouth can prove beneficial.
