SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS managed decent business in the North but recorded low figures elsewhere. The film actually did well on day one in Delhi/NCR and East Punjab. The first day all India total was around 5.25 crore nett.

The Delhi/UP day one figure was let down by business in UP while East Punjab came out with a healthy first day total. The problem for the film was that most other circuits like CP Berar, CI, Nizam and Rajasthan recorded very low collections.

Rajasthan had a limited release but even if we take the circuit at fair value it is still poor. Mumbai also did not perform well as collections outside Mumbai city and Pune were low with Gujarat having very bad performance. The film needs strong weekend growth and good follow through on weekdays as it has a pretty high cost of over 40 crore to release and promote the film.
