Feroz Abbas Khan, who made his directorial debut with Gandhi My Father (2007), is back with Dekh Tamasha Dekh, a political satire based on a true story. The film depicts the absurdity and hypocrisy of our democracy, albeit in a hilarious manner. The plot revolves around a poor man trying to find his religious identity, which is lost among warring political factions.
Feroz, who is also a co-producer of the film, says, “Watch this film before you vote; you may change India or India may change you. The final resolution will leave the viewer stunned.” The film has been inspired by a real-life incident, told to him by the former Police Commissioner of Mumbai, Satish Sawhney. Feroz adds, “In India, you can be sure that reality is far more exciting and stranger than fiction.”
Dekh Tamasha Dekh, produced by Eros International, releases this April.
