Hasee Toh Phasee 17.06 cr in 3 days; Jai Ho 105.50 cr in 17 days

HASEE TOH PHASEE had a fair weekend of around 17.06 crore nett thanks to the the metros that recorded decent collections. The problem for the film was that it was only the really big cities that contributed well and also those with premium multiplexes.
Places in the same area had different results like Gurgaon had decent collections but Noida was comparatively less despite both being satellite towns of Delhi and both being multiplex cities. This is because Gurgaon has the high end multiplexes.
The trend was pretty good over the weekend as the film grew around 35% on Saturday and a further 20% on Sunday. The business was much below Shuddh Desi Romance which was a hit film released last year with a similar cast and budget. That film had grossed 23 crore nett over its first weekend compared to the 16 crore nett of HASEE TOH PHASEE
HASEE TOH PHASEE should remain steady over the weekdays but with the film just collecting in the metros it will curtail its business on the final tally.

JAI HO grossed around 2.25-2.50 crore nett in its third weekend taking the business to 105.50 crore nett after seventeen days. The film is tax exempted in UP and Gujarat and these are the best collecting areas in third weekend. Gujarat belt has been best from day one.
The film is looking at final business of around 108 crore nett which would mean it just about getting in the top twenty grossers of all time with business in the same range as films like DON 2 and GOLMAAL 3 which were released a few years back.
Also the lifetime business of JAI HO is less than what recen Salman Khan starrers like DABANGG 2 grossed in nine days and what EK THA TIGER grossed in six days.
