His life story is nothing less than a Bollywood masala thriller and has attracted attention from many a filmmaker, but serial killer Charles Sobhraj has not really warmed up to the idea of his life of being made into a movie. Now that production house DAR Motion Pictures has purchased the film rights of the book Bikini Murders — which is said to be loosely based on Sobhraj’s life — the criminal is going all out to stop the film from being made. Word has it that Sobhraj has now sued the production house that plans to adapt Farrukh Dhondy’s book into a movie.
If sources are to be believed, Sobhraj has sent a legal notice to DAR Motion Pictures. When contacted, the spokesperson of the production company denied the news. He said, “We have officially acquired the filming rights for Farrukh Dhondy's book, 'Bikini Murders'. We are currently in the process of setting up the film and we haven’t received any legal notice from Charles Sobhraj or his lawyers.”
Charles Sobhraj is currently in a prison in Nepal, where he is serving life sentence for the murder of a US citizen.
