After Teen Patti that introduced Shraddha Kapoor, writer-director Leena Yadav’s next is a departure from cliché. Titled Parched, the film is based around a modern village and three women, played by Tannishtha Chatterjee, Radikha Apte and Surveen Chawla, who form the core of its story. The movie, a co-production from an LA-based alliance, of which Ajay Devgn too is a part, also features Adil Hussain. The shoot starts this week in Jaisalmer, where the crew has already begun prep work. Also joining the team are two Oscar winners — cinematographer Russell Carpenter (Titanic, 1998) and editor Hughes Winborne (Crash, 2004).
