URI grossed an excellent 62.25 crore nett in its second week and its not the number that is huge as some films have done better in week two but the trend. The film has dropped a little under 15% in its second week and that has ever happened before with collections this high. The total collections of the film are 133.50 crore nett after two weeks.

The second week collections of the film are better than the New Year blockbuster SIMMBA which collected 61.65 crore nett in week two. The film did have its first noticeable drop in day fourteen which makes the 200 crore nett mark difficult. Last week this film improved collections on Friday compared to Thursday and if that happens this week again then it the 200 crore nett mark will be on.

But to do this again is a huge ask as there are other major releases this week so a drop is likely though this film has always surprised in its run so far.

THE ACCIDENTAL PRIME MINISTER has seen AVERAGE results at the box office as it looks for a close of around 24 crore nett apprx. There was a fall in collections in week two of around 75% but it still managed to do 4.50 crore nett which did not look like happening considering how it dropped in the weekdays of the first week.

The film has put up decent numbers for a documentary type of film. The collections in week three can be better than WHY CHEAT INDIA.

URI remained rock steady with business of 6.25-6.50 crore nett on its second Tuesday. This has taken the business of the film to 122 crore nett plus. The second week stands at a huge 51 crore nett so far with two more days left. It should end at around 62-62 crore nett which will less than 15% down from the first week.

The film has crossed 45 crore nett in Mumbai which is an insane number for a patriotic film which tend to out perform in the North. The business in Delhi/UP is around 24 crore nett which is also very good but no comparison to Mumbai. The other strong markets are West Bengal and Mysore which have crossed 6 and 7 crore nett respectively. The latter started a bit slow but has really come on in the second week as week two will do around 30-35% more business than the first week.

The 200 crore nett mark is not out of the question and it will be Friday that will be the test to see if it remains in the race for 200 crore nett or not. If the film trends like last Friday then its a sure shot for 200 crore nett but with big competition it will be much tougher this week.

URI had a miracle second Monday as it grossed around the 6.75-7 crore nett range. The film hardly dropped on its second Friday from its first Friday and now has hardly dropped on its second Monday from its second Friday. Basically the drop from day one to day eleven is under 20% and this has never happened in the last decade or so; definitely not for a film which collected over 5 crore nett on day one.

The second week is heading for a figure of 60 crore nett and could even go higher. It will be very interesting what happens on Friday when MANIKARNIKA - THE QUEEN OF JHANSI releases as at the present the way this film is trending, a 200 crore nett plus figure is on the cards. It will be some sort of competition which stops this film as it has struck a chord across India. South which was low in the first week is excellent in the second week as the second weekend alone in all markets of South India be it Nizam/Andhra, Mysore or TNK recorded higher numbers than the whole first week run.

URI has created HISTORY in the second weekend as it recorded higher collections in its second weekend than the first weekend. The film had collected 35.92 crore nett in its first weekend and the second weekend is 37.75 crore nett apprx. This has never happened before for a film which opened with 5 crore nett plus collections. Only some films opening in the under 2 crore nett range have seen a higher second weekend

The last time this happened was DUM LAGA KE HAISHA in 2015 where the second weekend was a few lakhs better and before that in 2014 when Queen did the same but there is a huge difference as those films were doing it on low collections while URI has managed it on good collections.

The total collections of the film now are 109 crore nett and it is only a matter of time that the film crosses the likes of STREE and BADHAAI HO as URI has a bigger reach than those films. In the mass markets the film has already crossed those films or is on the verge of crossing it today (Monday).

URI had a huge second Friday of 7.75 crore nett which is not far off from its first day figure. The film is a BLOCKBUSTER and will be probably go on to be on to be the highest grossing small grossing film ever beating TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS.

The Friday figure of this film is up there with some of the biggest films and the film has beaten its first day figure in a circuit like Mumbai. This is when the first day of Mumbai itself was very good. The South had lower collections in week one due to regional films and those regional films are still going but URI has managed to get more screens which has enabled collections down South to be rock steady though it is underperformimg there

URI continues its miracle run as it collected a huge 13 crore nett on its second Saturday. This takes the second weekend total to around 20.50 crore nett plus in just two days and a 35 crore nett second weekend looks there on the cards and it could be a few crore more.

The total business of the film is now around 90 crore nett in nine days but it is the trend which is the biggest achievement of the film. This sort of trend at this level has not been seen before. The film had a very good first weekend and they way the film is going it could mean that the second weekend actually more than the first weekend. The weekdays could be less than the first week weekdays but overall the second week is not going to much lower than week one, maybe 15-20%.
