AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA had a disastrous first week of 7.50 crore nett which means it could even be a struggle for the film to reach 10 crore nett. The film is going to be lowest grossing film featuring a star in the last 15 years but industry has pretty much taken it in its stride. The shockwaves that Eid sent are not there as maybe nothing was expected from the film anyway.
The film starting with the buy one get one free offer pretty much made it clear that there is not much hope here and that is what happened. The film is unlikely to be good but it is probably that bad that it only gets 10 crore nett at the box office. But today, if the audience is not interested, then they will just not come.
The three day collections of AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA are as follows.

Saturday - 1,75,00,000
Sunday - 1,85,00,000
Monday - 55,00,000
Tuesday - 55,00,000

ULAJH collected 6.75 crore nett in its first week which is also very poor but comparatively, it has done better than AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA as it is a far smaller film.

The new releases this week are showing awful collections on the weekdays. Despite the horrible openings, the collections are down a lot on the weekdays. The weekdays collections are down in that 50 lakhs zone with AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA dropping 65% on Monday and ULAJH showing a drop of 55%.
The collection of AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA is a little over 6.25 crore nett so far and the week will end at around 7.25 crore nett which means it remains to be seen if it can even reach 10 crore or nett. There are no releases this week which may just take it to 10 crore nett.
ULAJH is showing 5.75 crore nett in five days and the week will go to 6.25 crore nett. Here, 10 crore nett looks pretty much impossible. The pressure is on August 15 releases as the industry desperately needs some positivity in terms of box office collections.

AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA collected very poorly with opening day collections in the range of 1.65-1.75 crore nett. The film also had the BOGO offer which hardly makes a difference and although it should STOP, it will not because makers do for various reasons. If it continues in the long run, it will make life tougher for the mid to small films as you give the public a bad habit of expecting free tickets.
Here with AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA, the reason for BOGO was probably to get some audience in on day one as they had to do something due to the film looking so bad. It made little difference as audience was just not interested. The director had earlier made thriller type of films like BABY and SPECIAL 26 which were decent but with no mass appeal. Here he has gone towards a different zone and results are horrible.
ULAJH has collected 1.15-1.25 crore nett on its first day which is a poor collection but also par for the course as how much more than 1 crore nett can a film like this get. The results are actually better than AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA as there is no BOGO, it is a much smaller film and it is only 50-60 lakh behind. This gap should tighten over the weekend.
Both new releases are totally devoid of hit music and results are there for all to see. The importance of music cannot be reiterated enough and no matter what genre it is, music will only help the initial.

AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA was flat on Saturday although the film is a word of mouth one, the growth was never going to be much as the film was boosted by the BOGO offer on day one. It cant even be said that the film has face huge rejection as like so many films in the last two years as the public has not even given it a chance.
The film is under 3.50 crore nett in the first two days and is likely to have a first weekend of a little over 5 crore nett. The weekend collections will be less than Ajay Devgn films released around 20 years ago like APAHARAN and QAYAMAT.

ULAJH has shown a 40% jump on its second which is not enough for the film but it has caught up with AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA. This film will also not do well but its collecting as you would expect with hardly any face value and an uninteresting trailer. A minor victory would be if it could beat the collections of the competition in the final tally though that will make no difference to the eventual fate of the film.
