FIGHTER is coming to the end of its run and has so far collected 343.50 crore worldwide with not much more to come. The film is an underperformer with overseas doing better. But the numbers do not compare well with DUNKI which did 418 crore worldwide and TIGER 3 which collected 440 crore worldwide. All three films got open runs and had holiday benefits also.
Eventually, the worldwide numbers look pretty much respectable and none of the films are major duds but there are scary circuit numbers in India especially considering the names involved in the film. If these type of big films are going to do the sort of numbers they have done in Rajasthan, Gujarat, East Punjab, CI and Maharashtra, then there is little hope for the others at the moment unless content is excellent. DUNKI maybe has an excuse due to the genre in some of these circuits but East Punjab, where the subject has huge relatability, has not performed.
The plus for all three is overseas though despite DUNKI getting the best numbers, in reality that would be the worst overseas performer due to the expectations from Shah Rukh Khan overseas and that fact that the period was huge this year there was no SPIDER-MAN or AVATAR from Hollywood which gives screening issues in key properties in the West. For FIGHTER, it can be said it lost around 25 crore in overseas due to no Gulf release. So, fair value could be around 370 crore for its worldwide finish.
The worldwide numbers of FIGHTER till date are as follows.
India - 239.50 Crore (199.50 nett)
Overseas - 104 crore ($12.50 million)
TOTAL - 343.50 crore
Tiger 3 collects 440 cr worldwide in all formats

TIGER 3 finished with a 260 crore nett total in Hindi which now looks a bit better looking at the numbers of DUNKI and these numbers came with a Sunday release which was not beneficial and huge cricket matches in the way. A Friday release without the matches would have probably meant a 300 crore nett plus total though it can easily be seen with the weekly numbers that the appreciation was not there. DUNKI also had the competition of SALAAR and without that, it would also have been better. But TIGER 3 probably took a bigger hit with the Sunday release and the cricket match.
The film also managed a $14.25 million total which came with a one and a half day first weekend which is a killer as its difficult to recover in overseas as weekends are so important as compared to India. The film was also banned in places like Oman and Qatar which are strong for Salman Khan but it still managed a good $4.75 million in Gulf.
The worldwide business of the film finished at 432 crore and was around 440 crore in all formats. The downside was the poor business in what were Salman Khan strongholds before the pandemic like Rajasthan and CI. Gujarat, considering the huge period, too, did not put up the expected numbers while East Punjab was dull. The better performance was probably Delhi/UP, West Bengal and Mysore.
The final collections of TIGER 3 (Hindi) in India till are as follows.
Week One - 2,34,11,00,000 apprx (12 Days)
Week Two - 22,97,00,000 apprx
Week Three - 2,21,00,000 apprx
Week Four - 68,00,000

TIGER 3 has scored well over its 12 day extended first week with business of around 242 crore nett and a decent hold on Friday will confirm its HIT status. The film has not met its blockbuster expectations but that does not mean it has not done well.
The second week is crucial for the film as with ANIMAL releasing next week, there will not be much business coming post the second week. The business today (second Friday) will tell where its lifetime business is going.
The film is not going to reach the numbers of the last TIGER film but in reality the gap is not as big as it looks. TIGER ZINDA HAI was a Christmas release and TIGER 3 is a Diwali release; both films released on big holidays. But with TIGER 3, if you take out the matches and give it a Friday release, which allows five days before the first big match, then its likely there would not be much difference in the business of TIGER ZINDA HAI and TIGER 3.
The bigger disappointment is that the film has done well enough in South and West Bengal for a Salman Khan starrer but places like Rajasthan and CI where Salman Khan films are stronger are just not up to the mark and that too on Diwali. These places may not beat the numbers of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO released in 2015 and if they manage, it will be by a very minimal margin.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 57,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 42,50,00,000 apprx

-------------------------------------------------
TIGER 3 collected 3.75 crore nett apprx on its second Friday which is a drop of around 20% from Thursday. The total collections of the film are now almost 246 crore nett and it is probably heading for the 275 crore nett mark for lifetime business. The film is unlikely to do much business when ANIMAL releases and TIGER 3 will face a huge drop in collections.
The film did not show the growth on Saturday last weekend as the film came out of Diwali weekend but it should be different this week as its a normal week. The final business of the film is going to be better in South and West Bengal as these markets will be the closest to the business of TIGER ZINDA HAI. If we compare the South India totals at the end, they may well be pretty much the same.
The film is a HIT which are like gold dust at the moment but the industry will not see it like that as the expectations were of a BLOCKBUSTER film. Those expectations have not been matched and what happens then is a certain negativity spreads and this still applies even today when business is not optimum.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx

TIGER 3 finally hit the 250 crore nett mark on its 14th day as it collected a decent 5.50 crore nett on Saturday. Despite being its 14th day, it is only the second Saturday of the film due to the odd day release of a Sunday.
The growth on Saturday is around 50% with multiplexes showing better growth. The film is holding best in the Delhi/UP market and that circuit has stands at around 55 crore nett. Mumbai has been helped by that extended holidays in Gujarat but if we take out that factor, the film is not up to the mark in this territory.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 57,00,00,000 apprx

TIGER 3 had a fair second weekend of 16 crore nett with decent collections on Saturday and Sunday. The numbers are low for a second weekend but it has to be taken into consideration that it is not like a normal second weekend as the first week had twelve days due to the Sunday release.
This takes the business of the to a healthy 258 crore nett and its looking to reach the 275 crore nett mark. The film has or is going to cross 15 crore nett in both Nizam/Andhra and Mysore and pretty much do the business of TIGER ZINDA HAI in both these circuits. This has also been achieved on Diwali which is not strong for these two circuits like a Christmas when TIGER ZINDA HAI released.
The issue for the film is it has just 12 crore nett in Rajasthan and 7 crore nett in CI up on the board after its second weekend and here it should be much higher. CI will only do 60% of the business of TIGER ZINDA HAI and will fall well short of even PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.

TIGER 3 collected 3 crore nett on Monday taking its total to 19 crore nett for the second week. There was a holiday in North India for Guru Nanak Jayanti but that is being negated by bad weather in Gujarat where Sunday did not grow. Now Monday has not really recovered as the fall from Friday is more than other parts of the country.
This total of the film is 261 crore nett and it should stand at around 268-269 crore nett. But there will not be much to come as there are two big releases, ANIMAL and SAM BAHADUR, with the former sure to find a huge audience.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.

TIGER 3 saw a drop in business on Tuesday as Monday had benefitted from Guru Nanak Jayanti. The film has failed to recover much in Gujarat from the hit it took for bad weather on Sunday. The film is now heading for second week total of 24.50 crore nett.
The drop on Tuesday will also make it tough for business when ANIMAL releases and its looking a 270 crore nett finish. The film should have done better but even still its not a bad result for a film which has not really worked and been hit by matches and a Sunday release which was not optimum.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx

-------------------------------------------------
TIGER 3 collected 25 crore nett apprx in week two as collections came down midweek for the film. This takes the film to 266 crore nett plus but there will not be much collections coming from here on as ANIMAL dominates the box office.
The business of the film is good in South and the numbers in Mumbai circuit can be called pretty good as to what is happening in that circuit. But this has a lot to do with extended holidays in Gujarat and if we take that out, then the performance in the circuit leans towards the lower side.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.

TIGER 3 has grossed 402 crore worldwide in Hindi in twelve days with pretty good business in India and Overseas. The Sunday release has led to issues in both markets with Overseas being a limited first weekend and then it became a struggle on working days.
The film was also banned in Qatar and Oman which would have cost the film around $1 million. The total so far in overseas is $13 million with a $3.85 million total in Gulf and around $2.75 million here is just UAE as due to the bans in Qatar and Oman it means limited business from the rest of Gulf. Also Salman Khan films tend to outperform outside UAE. The US market will be around $4.50 million in 12 days.
The worldwide numbers of the film will be just outside the top ten of all time but they should cross WAR which did around 442 crore worldwide. Here TIGER 3 should cross the 450 crore mark worldwide at the very least.
The collections of TIGER 3 (Hindi) worldwide are as follows.
India - 294 Crore (242 nett)
Overseas - 108 crore ($13 million)
TOTAL - 402 crore (12 Days)

TIGER 3 did well on its tenth day with around 6 crore nett which takes the film to 232 crore nett. The drop on day ten was mainly in pockets like UP and Bihar which had a holiday on Monday. The film will have an extended first week of 12 days and it will have collected around 232 crore nett in these twelve days.
Then it becomes all about the second week which has no competition to put up some numbers as the third week will see the release of ANIMAL and it will be facing a huge drop in collections. Basically, the second Friday of the film will determine the lifetime business of the film.
The film needed positive public reports to overcome the obstacles of the matches and the odd release as with positive public reports you can recover on a little on a daily basis especially with no other release. But with mixed reports, it becomes tougher if not impossible. The drop on Wednesday hit the film hard and it could not really recover from that.
Still the film is looking to emerge a HIT if it does decent second week business and you take that when the public appreciation is not there like it should be. The mass circuits are a concern as its another big film outperforming in South and East and this is not just about TIGER 3 but for the whole industry. The better ratio for Gujarat is down to the extended holidays and take that out and Gujarat also becomes low.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 57,00,00,000 apprx

TIGER 3 lost a huge chunk of its revenue on Sunday due to the world cup cricket final as it only collected around 9.75 crore nett. This is around 15 crore nett loss meaning the film has lost around 23-25 crore nett on the two day main matches featuring India while there could be a little on the other days when other matches played.
The hit was huge in the bigger multiplexes as these multiplexes cut shows to screen the final live in many cities across India. The drops here were 55-60% from the previous day, but mass centres held better showing drops of under 50%. The little plus was that it held up better than the other films being screened probably as it has mass reach as compared to others which are urban films. The film has collected 219 crore nett so far in eight days and after the drop on Wednesday it was always going to be what the film could do from Monday onwards.
There is a huge ticket rate drop on Monday but there is a minor holiday and the fact that the Sunday went missing for the film. Hence, the hope is that it can get a decent hold on Monday and have a decent run for the next ten days or so. The film has done well till date though not matched the huge expectations that it had but the collections from here that will tell what sort of appreciation the film has.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 57,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 42,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 2,19,00,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------
TIGER 3 did decent business on its second Monday with collections of 7 crore nett although the Monday is day nine instead of the regular day eleven. This takes the film to 226 crore nett so far which is a good number.
The film had have some holiday factor (Chhath Puja) in some states which held up better than normal and these will drop on Tuesday. But some mass pockets also held well without the holiday factor. It remains to be seen where the film settles on Tuesday but the film is a HIT unless the collections come down heavily from here on. The film should cross the 275 crore nett and maybe has an outside chance of going to 300 crore nett.
The cricket matches has meant Diwali has not been as good as usual with a good chunk of business lost. Even if these matches were not there and Diwali played out as it has, then the 300 crore nett number was there for the film.
Its been a long time since Diwali has been huge for the action zone with the bigger blockbusters coming more from the entertainment and comedy zone like the GOLMAAL films and OM SHANTI OM. However, TIGER 3 is comfortably the top grosser on Diwali though footfalls will be less than likes of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO and GOLMAAL AGAIN. The footfalls will probably end in the same range as HOUSEFULL 4.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.

Tiger 3 collects 209.25 cr in 7 days; had sixth highest first week of all time

TIGER 3 collected 18 crore nett on day seven which is growth of around 35% from the Friday which is less than normal but was expected as to how Diwali plays out with holiday period ending at different times in different states. The film has done good business in week one with collections of 209 crore nett over the first seven days.
The film is generally good for the genre and as a Salman Khan-starrer, it should have done better in the the Central circuits and Gujarat. The latter has a huge holiday period and the numbers are good but taking into account the period they should have been higher. East Punjab is also low but that is more of a circuit issue for most films. It is the same areas where JAWAN and PATHAAN underperformed and here it has happened on Diwali.
The film would have had a comfortable 23-25 crore nett to total on Sunday but that will be impossible with the cricket world cup final match featuring India taking out the business through the whole day. If eventually the film falls short of 300 crore nett, it will probably be down to the cricket matches.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 57,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 42,50,00,000 apprx

TIGER 3 had the sixth highest first week of all time with 209 crore nett and it is the tenth film to collect 200 crore nett in a week but post pandemic, the 300 crore nett number has become possible and two films have achieved this.
So what this means is that 200 crore nett now is just a good number for these big films where as before the pandemic, it would have been very good. The film released on a Sunday and with a normal Friday release, it may have done 240-250 crore nett as it would have got far higher numbers on the board before that post holiday drop and cricket match on Wednesday.
The film has found it hard to recover post that Wednesday drop and that is down to so so reports, The film needed to be liked by a wider audience and stronger reports to recover from that Wednesday drop.
The top ten first weeks of all time are as follows and also these ten films are the only films to hit 200 crore nett in a week.
1. Pathaan - 3,17,06,00,000
2. Jawan - 3,12,79,00,000
3. Gadar 2 - 2,81,44,00,000
4. KGF - Chapter 2 - 2,50,51,00,000

TIGER 3 collected 13 crore nett on Friday which was day six for the film. This collections would have been very good if this was the second Friday and day eight but its come on day six due to the the Sunday release. The film held well at the bigger multiplexes and there was no support of higher ticket rates as the film has the same rates till Sunday.
The film showed bigger drops in mass pockets as it slowly comes out of Diwali period and it is almost out with maybe Gujarat and UP showing being a little higher than should be. But now the film is showing pretty normal ratios.
The total collections of the film so far is 191 crore nett so far and it should be around 209-210 crore nett week for the film. The growth on Saturday could be a little less as those final centres come out of Diwali. The flipside is that there is a match on Sunday and some of the Sunday audience will watch on Saturday which makes it normal growth. It remains to be seen how it plays out.
The film is looking to emerge a HIT though will not meet the expectations of the industry which was a blockbuster success. The Friday number actually should have ensured a HIT status for the film but its unknown how big the loss will be on Sunday. It should have been looking at a 230 crore nett total by Sunday night but that will not happen due to the match.

TIGER 3 collected 19.75 crore nett on day four as it got hit by the cricket match and also there was going to be a fall in the bigger centres anyway post Diwali. Despite the match, the film has got benefit of Bhai Dooj as collections in Hindi areas are far better though obviously would have been better if there was no match.
The issue for the film is the film has come from a 40 crore nett level to a 20 crore nett level which is a big gap and these areas which are holding up better are due to Diwali and slowly these will start coming down also. The plus for the film is that it has got a 162 crore nett number on the board already and then it depends on where it can settle on Friday. Also, Monday is probably more important as the weekend will again by hit by the biggest cricket match for the India public for sometime.
Overall the film has done well till date but the run from here is crucial as it needs to stabilize over the next two days which wont be easy as well because everyday there will be areas losing that Diwali factor. It could be today that its only UP and Gujarat with the Diwali boost and that is not certain as well as Diwali has played out in a different way this year.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 57,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 42,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday 19,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,61,50,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------
TIGER 3 saw a fair hold on its sixth day as many areas were pretty similar to the previous day with the Gujarat/Saurashtra belt going even higher. If more areas could have gone higher post the match, then that would have meant the film going into the weekend with stronger collections but it was only Gujarat where Diwali is huge. The film managed to collect 16.75 crore nett but these collections are coming as some of the Diwali pockets are still collecting well.
The total collections of the film are 178 crore nett in six days but collections probably have to come a down another leg as their is still Diwali sport for the film. The loss due to the cricket match on Wednesday is probably around 8 crore nett and it maybe more than this on Sunday as its an even bigger match though all this depends on the level of collections on Saturday.
The performances across India is a mixed bag and if we look comparatively, then Mysore is probably the best performer till date and that's not how it should be for an action film with Salman Khan on Diwali. There is no holiday period there in Mysore yet the film not only having good numbers in Mysore but also holding well. Take out the big Diwali holiday on Monday where East Punjab got 5 crore nett then Mysore would be way ahead of East Punjab despite being half the circuit.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.

Monday - 57,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 42,50,00,000 apprx

TIGER 3 did very well on its third as it collected around 42.50 crore nett which edged past the day one number due to much better business in single screens and smaller centres which were affected by Laxmi Puja on day one. Even the bigger multiplexes of PVR Inox managed numbers which were very close to the first day.
The bigger gains from day one were in circuits like East Punjab, Rajasthan and CI which were 50% or more higher than day one. Even Delhi/UP will be a solid 30-40% up from day one as single screen collections remain at the same level of Monday which was the national holiday. This is also the case in Gujarat and Central and even in some centres of Maharashtra. There are drops in South and East from day one as they were very strong on day one.
The film is doing very well in Mysore with almost 10 crore nett up in 3 days and its not really a strong period here and usually Salman Khan films are not that huge here either. It may well be his biggest grosser in this circuit in the first eight days. Nizam/Andhra, which is stronger for Salman Khan, is not doing as well after strong collections on the first day.
The three day total of the film is around 141.75 crore nett which is a huge total especially with Diwali not really falling right. The test of the film starts now as although it is Bhai dooj on Wednesday which is a good day for collections in many circuits and this will be hit by the big cricket match. Depending on the hit, it then becomes about recovering ground over the next few days.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 57,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 42,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,41,75,00,000 apprx

TIGER 3 has the third highest first weekend of all time despite it not being an optimum weekend with certain places being dull on day one and other places having a normal working day on day three. The film has still put up a huge 140 crore nett which is only behind JAWAN and PATHAN - they had the holidays falling in a better way.
There are now thirteen films with a 100 crore nett weekend which includes the ten films below and also BRAHMASTRA, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and RACE 3. The target now is probably 150 crore nett if the holidays are there and maybe even on a normal weekend it is pretty much possible.
The biggest Diwali weekend before TIGER 3 was THUGS OF HINDOSTAN but at that time, Diwali fell right as opening on the big national holiday and two partial holiday over the next two day but the film was not liked and it did a 98 crore nett weekend.
The top Hindi opening weekends in India of all time are as follows.
1. Jawan - 1,75,14,00,000
2. Pathaan - 1,60,57,00,000
3. Tiger 3 - 1,41,75,00,000
4. KGF - Chapter 2 - 1,40,45,00,000
5. Gadar 2 - 1,32,47,00,000
6. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion - 1,27,28,00,000
7. Sanju - 1,19,33,00,000
8. Tiger Zinda Hai - 1,14,91,00,000
9. Sultan - 1,05,55,00,000
10. Dangal - 1,04,53,00,000

TIGER 3 had a huge second day as the film collected around 57 crore nett taking its two day total to 99 crore nett. The growth was extraordinary in circuits which were affected by Diwali Puja with some circuits doubling up while other were even more.
The growth was less in areas which scored on the first day with some circuits even dropping especially Nizam/Andhra and West Bengal. Also single screens in Muslim centres could not grow as well as they were huge on day one. The fact that the film opened on Sunday really pushed the collections in Muslim centres and that is why Sunday came out with a huge number for Laxmi Puja.
Diwali holiday is over two days this year due to which the film will get an extra holiday. If this was not there, then the collections on Monday could have been 65-70 crore nett. Yet, over the two day period, it will get far more than 70 crore nett. The collections of the film in two days have hit 99 crore nett and it is still a good period till Sunday. But there could be two huge cricket matches which will hit business. One match is certain and there is a good chance of a second one and that one will be on Sunday.
The collections of TIGER 3 till date are as follows.
Sunday - 42,25,00,000
Monday - 57,00,00,000
TOTAL - 99,25,00,000 apprx

TIGER 3 has collected 42.25 crore nett on the first day and this a crazy number for Diwali Day where collections come to a standstill in the evening. The difference here though seems a huge ratio of business from South and East which don't have this slowing down on Diwali.
East India outside Bihar is just phenomenal as no Salman Khan starrer has seen these numbers in West Bengal, Assam and Odisha. In fact they are very close to films like PATHAAN and JAWAN. Bihar is affected due to Laxmi Puja and so, the collections there are less.
Delhi/UP is also outstanding considering its Laxmi Puja as many centres in UP record fantastic collections. Gujarat also for Puja day at around 4 crore nett is pretty extraordinary. Gujarat and UP are the crucial areas for Diwali period and these have started on a very good note even with the restrictions of Diwali Day.
There are two places where collections have not come and that is East Punjab and CI. The former can be expected as its generally a circuit problem though you would still expect better. CI must do better as both PATHAAN and JAWAN underperformed here. But then Shah Rukh Khan films have never been driven by this circuit. Its a different story for Salman Khan who is the biggest star in this circuit by a distance and not just today but he's one of the biggest stars ever in Madhya Pradesh (which forms CI circuit).
The opening day is the biggest ever for a Salman Khan starrer driven by business in the South and East. This South and East block has contributed around 17 crore nett which is insane as its 40% of the all India business. It could be the Sunday release which has pushed the numbers in these pockets. It also means the film is going to behave differently to other films as that normal jump of 70-90% from Diwali Day to the big national holiday will not happen as 40% of the business will not record much growth.
The fact that the national holiday is over two days will also mean the film will behave differently as to other films that came on Diwali. It remain to be seen which circuits have their best day on Monday and which circuits are best on Tuesday. The film also collected around 1.50 crore nett apprx in Tamil and Telugu with most of the business coming in Telugu.
------------------------------
TIGER 3 recorded the sixth highest opening day of all time and due to its release day it was never expected to be in the top ten let alone be the sixth highest ever. Also if we go back to Thursday and Friday it hardly looked like getting here due to the slow pace of advances. The situation changed on Saturday and there was no looking back.
The opening day is also the highest for a Salman Khan starrer edging out BHARAT. The numbers have got higher post pandemic with films like JAWAN, PATHAAN and KGF - CHAPTER 2 and if TIGER 3 was released on a normal day or a holiday, then there would have up there with these three films for sure. By higher numbers we mean for the better films with cinematic value as for the regular stuff, the business is down as most will be aware.
Its an extraordinary result on Diwali Day but it can be due to changing box office dynamics as contributions from certain circuits get higher when there are big action films. Maybe back to a comedy film on Diwali, those Diwali restrictions maybe reflected in the collections which is less of a case here with TIGER 3. There are now 5 films in the list post pandemic.
The top ten highest openings of all time are as follows.
1. Jawan - 63,87,00,000
2. Pathaan - 55,72,00,000
3. KGF - Chapter 2 - 52,39,00,000
4. War - 50,61,00,000
5. Thugs Of Hindostan - 48,27,00,000
6. Tiger 3 - 42,25,00,000 apprx
7. Bharat - 41,62,00,000
8. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion - 40,73,00,000
9. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - 39,32,00,000
10. Gadar 2 - 38,96,00,000
