The collections are only 6 crore nett but the achievement here has more respect than other small films. These small films only cater to a limited metro audience and for collections the media and reviewers in the bigger publications have to be on their side as this segment of the audience does get influenced.

Not only small films but even bigger films aimed at metro audience know the media has to be on their side. Surprisingly this film has not got those 4 or 5 star reviews or media support but is still maintaining better than the films that do get them.

The films looks like running well for a few weeks as its doing the business solely on actual word of mouth and it should maintain with even with the release of AVENGERS: ENDGAME.

Also the audience is very limited for these type of films. If the film can run for a few weeks it can put up a respectable final number.

HELLBOY has fared poorly as collections crashed on Monday while THE TASHKENT FILES was pretty close to the number on Friday. The film had to really be better on Monday than Friday as it was low weekend collections but it has caught HELLBOY despite opening less than half of that film. The release of THE TASHKENT FILES was also 25% of HELLBOY with 250 screens against 1000 screens.

HELLBOY was the best of the new releases though it collected poorly. The collections of the film were 75 lakhs nett which was less than the holdover Hollywood release SHAZAM but still more than all the new Hindi releases. HELLBOY will hardly survive at the box office with these sort of collections.

THE TASHKENT FILES was the best of the Hindi releases with collections of 35 lakhs nett. If the collections of HELLBOY were more than all the new Hindi releases combined then the collections of THE TASHKENT FILES were more than all the other new Hindi releases combined.

Films like ALBERT PINTO KO GUSSA KYUN AATA HAI, BLACKBOARD VS WHITEBOARD, EK HAQIQAT GANGA, GUN PE DONE and PAHARGANJ also released and it was the last named which had some 8-10 lakh nett collections while the others completely failed to register.
