I thought I looked just like Mithun Chakraborty-Irrfan Khan

BOMBAY TIMES (August 30, 2015)

Tonight on The Anupam Kher Show Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai at 8 pm on Colors, Irrfan will reveal more about his life from his struggling years. Part of a feudal family, Irrfan will share how he frequently accompanied his father for hunting trips. Eager to pursue acting, Irrfan procured admission at the National School of Drama. On the show, he'll admit how at the start of his career, people commented on his lack of ability to act. He'll share another incident about how he landed a role in Mira Nair's Salaam Bombay, for which he underwent a workshop to prepare himself months before shooting began. Sadly, he was turned down. The actor started his career on television, with an aim to get into films. In fact, Irrfan recalled a memory from the beginning of his work life, when he felt that he resembled Mithun Chakraborty. The actor even tried to dress like him.

He won accolades for films like Warrior and Paan Singh Tomar. When Anupam Kher mentioned that the latter is one of his favourite films, Irrfan revealed that he had based his character on his father who had been a strong influence in his life.

He added that people often mistake his quiet nature as his ego, which he has tried to change. With many stories of his ups and downs, Irrfan's journey is touching.

Waking up Mithun Chakraborty was the most difficult task-Anil Kapoor

BOMBAY TIMES (August 16, 2015)

Anil Kapoor is not just an actor par excellence, but also an affectionate husband and that will be seen in tonight's episode of The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, which airs every Sunday at 8 pm on Colors. Apart from revealing intimate details about his wife Sunita Kapoor, the actor will also talk about the struggle he went through in the initial days of his career. He will reveal how he took up odd jobs like picking actors up from the airport, waking them up in the morning and serving them breakfast without getting paid. He jokes that waking up Mithun Chakraborty was the most difficult task.

Did you know that he would even stalk Subhash Ghai for a role in his movie Krodhi? Needless to add that he lost out on the role to Sachin Pilgaonkar. However, years later, he eventually went on to play the lead in some of Ghai's classic movies like Meri Jung, Ram Lakhan and Taal.

On the personal front, he will talk about falling in love at first sight with Sunita, who he bumped into at a party at Raj Kapoor's house. Anil chose to get married at a very young age as he did not believe that it would be an obstacle in his career.

The actor will also mention that he was really surprised when people started comparing him to Amitabh Bachchan just after two movies. Be it in films or TV shows like 24, Anil has grown to become an inspiration for many.
