TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR had huge collections in the third week of nearly 38.50 crore nett which takes its total almost 232 crore nett in three weeks. The film is an early BLOCKBUSTER for 2020 due to the crazy business it has done in Maharashtra. It compares with a GADAR and BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION in this state and will have the third highest footfalls in the state of Maharashtra since 2000.

The film is up there with the legendary films of recent rimes in Maharashtra. The top five footfalls in Maharashtra in the last twenty year are now BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, GADAR, TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR, 3 IDIOTS and KAHO NAA PYAAR HAI. In Mumbai circuit, 3 IDIOTS has more footfalls but Mumbai circuit includes Gujarat/Saurashtra and some Maharashtra cities don't fall in Mumbai circuit.

The total collections of the film are now 222 crore nett and its looking a 260 crore nett finish for the film. The collections saw a drop in Maharashtra on Tuesday and that area is now contributing almost 60% of the all India business of the film. It could also become the fourth film in history to collect over 40 crore nett in the third week and its on target to hit the 40 crore nett mark at the moment. TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR is set to emerge a BLOCKBUSTER as it collected 4.75-5 crore nett on its third Friday despite strong competition from two new releases. This was going to be its toughest Friday but the new releases have not made much a difference and now the film is set for a strong run for the next few weeks.

The third Friday collections of the film in Mumbai circuit are more than the first day collections of PANGA and it could be that on day two and three, the film could be competing with STREET DANCER in Mumbai. The film now could be become the biggest BLOCKBSUTER for Ajay Devgn as it could beat the footfalls of GOLMAAL AGAIN.

Its rare for films that have lopsided collections to become a BLOCKBUSTER but Maharashtra is simply insane at all its centres.
