BAADSHAHO crashed further in the fourth week and will be out of theatres with business of 66 crore nett apprx. The collections of BAADSHAHO till date are as follows.

BAADSHAHO has fallen very badly in week three as collections are down almost 85% from the second week. The three week figure for the film stands at a little over 66 crore nett and 67 crore lifetime total will come on a best scenario. The distributor share will be just 32 crore meaning even a reasonable price of 41 crore for all India is no where near being recovered. The collections of BAADSHAHO till date are as follows.

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN had another decent week at it collected 5 crore nett in its third week which is three times the collection of BAADSHAHO which was released on the same day. It is the seventh best third week collection of 2017 and a similar BAREILLY KI BARFI had grossed 3.75 crore nett in week three. The film has another week to add collections and looks set for a 43 crore nett finish. The collections of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN till date are as follows.

BAADSHAHO fell badly in its third week with collections of 1 crore nett apprx. The film is on its last legs and is probably looking at a finish of 67 crore nett. It will mean the distributor share will be around 32 crore and that will mean losses of around 25% for the all India distributors of the film. BAADSHAHO had done fair business in week one due to the holiday factor but after tha collections fell fast. The film is another addition to the huge flop list of 2017. The collections of BAADSHAHO till date are as follows.

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is now easily beating BAADSHAHO as it grossed 3-3.25 crore nett in its third weekend which is treble of the bigger film BAADSHAHO. The total so far for the film is close to 38.50 crore nett and it should close above 40 crore nett for the weekdays and then possibly add another 3 crore nett apprx. It is one of the rare successful films of 2017 though its mainly North and other metros that have done well. The collections of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN till date are as follows.

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN remained the best holdover film out of all the Hindi films. The film grossed around 65 lakhs nett on its third Friday which ensures the film will cross 40 crore nett business as long as the expected growth comes on Saturday.
BAADSHAHO saw a big drop in collections on its third Friday as it grossed 20 lakhs nett and this makes its almost impossible for the film to hit 70 crore nett. It is now doing just half the business of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN and is being screened on limited screens especially in the bigger cities. The apprx collections of holdover films is as follows.
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan - 65 lakhs nett (3rd Friday)
Baadshaho - 20 lakhs nett (3rd Friday)
Poster Boys - 25 lakhs nett (2nd Friday)
Daddy - 10 lakhs nett (2nd Friday)
POSTER BOYS got a release is some single screens in week two but is practically out from multiplexes. The best holdover film was the Hollywood horror film IT which grossed around 80 lakhs nett on its second Friday. This film has collected a little under 13 crore nett and could do 20 crore nett lifetime which is not bad considering a 500 theatre release.

BAADSHAHO dropped 78% in its second week as it collected 11.50 crore nett. This has taken the total business of the film to 65.50 crore nett plus. Its second week had to be much better for the film to be an average fare, it actually should have been 50% more but drop on its second Friday failed to give the film any chances it had of coming out a success. The collections of BAADSHAHO till date are as follows.

Its two week business is 35 crore nett plus and it should cross the 40 crore nett mark. SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is a nice little earner though its not at the level of HINDI MEDIUM as far as the content films are concerned. The collections of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN till date are as follows.

BAADSHAHO grossed 1 crore nett on its second Monday to take its lifetime total to 62.75 crore nett apprx. The film has grossed 8.50 crore nett in its second week so far and will finish at around 11 crore nett. The lifetime business of the film is looking to be in the 68-70 crore nett range which is not good. The collections of BAADSHAHO till date are as follows.

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN had a solid second weekend as it showed a drop of less than 50% from last week. The second weekend collections were 7.50 crore nett apprx which takes the business of the film to over 31 crore nett in ten days. The first week saw the film being left behind the collections of BAADSHAHO but in the second weekend it has given that bigger film a run for its money and collected more in many parts of the country. There have been four other content success this year with HINDI MEDIUM, BAREILLY KI BARFI, THE GHAZI ATTACK and LIPSTICK UNDER MY BURKHA and SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is bigger than all of them barring the sleeper HIT HINDI MEDIUM. SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN has emerged a good success at the box office as it collected 1.50 crore nett apprx at the box office on its second Friday. This is a solid total for its second Friday and takes the eight day business of the film to 25.25 crore nett apprx.
The drop is around 20-25% from Thursday which is good trending though to emerge a major HIT it probably had to hold at the same levels as Thursday or even better as that is what the content films which go over the 50 crore nett tend to do. The film has its best collections in the Delhi NCR area. The collections of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN till date are as follows.

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN was the best collecting film this week at multiplexes of the metros as it beat all the new releases including Hollywood horror film IT. It should cross the business of BAREILLY KI BARFI in two weeks and looks to be heading to be a SEMI HIT unless the the holds up better than expected. The film makes its eleven successful films in the year out of 147 releases not counting this weeks releases.

BAADSHAHO had an average first week of 54.25 crore nett but these collections came as it got advantage of Eid and post Eid in some circuits. If the film did not get this push then the collections would have been 4-5 crore nett less. The film had to come up with a 60 crore nett plus total in week one but it has fell well short even with the Eid boost. The film will have to hold very well on day eight to get around that 80 crore nett plus final total for average business but that is going to be tough as collections did fall on Wednesday and Thursday as all the circuits came back to normal ratios.
The film has done better in B and C centres but even here the collections cant really be called good. The single screens were the best hope for the film but a mass action film like BAAGHI collected 30% more across all India single screens. Bihar is best across India with around 2.25 crore nett which is similar to the lifetime business of JOLLY LLB 2 and KAABIL in that circuit.
SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is on the lower side in week one at 23.25 crore nett but its held up well on the weekdays. There was a fall post Eid on Wednesday and Thursday but it still held at around the 2 crore nett mark on both days. The collections for week one are the same as HINDI MEDIUM which is the only small film to become a HIT this year but the weekday trend of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is not as strong as that film. The film should give BAADSHAHO tough competition this week and could even actually go ahead of the bigger film. It is certain to beat the numbers of BAREILLY KI BARFI released a few weeks back but the real task is to get to around the 40 crore nett mark.

The box office went back to normal on Wednesday as all the post Eid benefit went out of the equation. All releases were being boosted by good collections in Muslim centres on Monday and Tuesday and these fell back to normal levels on Wednesday. BAADSHAHO was worse hit as the holiday factor went out as it was performing best at B and C centres. The film collected 3.50-3.75 crore nett on Wednesday to take its total to 51 crore nett plus. The first week will finish with collections of 54 crore nett plus and its fate will depend on day eight and if that is reasonable it may become an AVERAGE fair. The six day business of BAADSHAHO is as follows.

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN also fell on Wednesday for the same reasons as BAADSHAHO but as it was benefiting less from the holiday factor as business outside the metros is poor. it did not fall as much as BAADSHAHO. Despite the fall the film is in a decent position and the week will end at 23 crore nett and then its all depending on week two and it could give BAADSHAHO a good battle in week two. The film will be an AVERAGE fair at worst and could go up a notch or two depending on how it behaves after the first week. The six day figures of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN are as follows

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN had a strong Tuesday with collections being better than day one. The film like BAADSHAHO is getting advantage of various festivities in certain circuits but other circuits where this not happening are also holding up. The film has already crossed the first week business of BAREILLY KI BARFI in just five days as that film had grossed 18 crore nett plus in seven days. SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is 19 crore nett plus. The film is a bigger film success than that film but it remains to be seen if the film can actually emerge one of the rare HITS of the year and that will be known over the second weekend. There have been just a handful of HITS this year and this one could be surprise HIT. The five day figures of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN are as follows

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN held up very well on Monday as it grossed a little under 2.50 crore nett. The drop is under 10% from Friday which is strong trending. The film is faring better than BAREILLY KI BARFI but that looked on the cards due to better reports and reach but its always Monday that confirms this. There is a leftover affect from Eid as some places are same or even higher than Friday while others have dropped 20-25%. The drops on Monday have a big range on Monday which is not the case on a normal Monday. So despite a very good hold it remains to be seen where it settles when these holiday factors go out of the equation. The film is a success and the second Friday will tell if the film can actually emerge a HIT film. The four day figures of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN are as follows

SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN collections remain on the lower side over the weekend despite a good trend over the weekend. The film has comfortably outscored other content films like BAREILLY KI BARFI and HINDI MEDIUM but still a 14 crore nett weekend is a low weekend. It has also managed to beat the weekend figures of bigger films like MOM and COMMANDO 2. There was competition from BAADSHAHO but that was probably compensated by the big holiday on Saturday. SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN has even managed to grow on Sunday a little after the big holiday but everything is depending on the weekdays and how they hold up. The weekend figures of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN are as follows

The best collections have come in Delhi NCR pretty much like BAREILLY KI BARFI (HINDI MEDIUM was tax free in Maharashtra which meant Mumbai also recorded good figures). In many premium multiplexes in and around Delhi the film has higher weekend collections than BAADSHAHO. The target for the film is probably to beat BAREILLY KI BARFI which it should despite the competition as has a little more appeal than that film and it would also be a decent result

BAADSHAHO did well on its second day as it grossed 13.50 crore nett taking its two day total to 23.50 crore nett plus. The growth was close to 35% on day two thanks to a holiday for Eid. It will be limited growth today as yesterday was like a Sunday but it will come out with a decent weekend thanks to Saturday and Sunday. The film is in the black for producers with a little table profit but has been sold for 40 crore to distributors across India. So it needs 80 crore nett plus business to cover and a 36-37 crore nett weekend will give it a chance. Basically if it can do business like SHIVAAY, then most investors would have covered. The two day business of the film is as follows.

Total - 23,60,00,000 apprx
SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN had a huge growth on day two as it more than doubled its collections though some of this growth was due to the holiday for Eid. The film is very comparable to BAREILLY KI BARFI released a few weeks but from the promo this film looked as it could have a bit more reach than that film as this film has a more authentic small town feel but with that extra reach you also have to be liked a bit more also and the next two days will determine that. BAADSHAHO had an average first day as it grossed around 10.25 crore nett. The main problem is that being an action mass film it probably had to 2 crore nett more which would have put the film on a solid footing. There is the holiday to help the film along today but still it needed a higher starting point. The collections are better than SHIVAAY (9.19 crore) but less than ACTION JACKSON (10.37 crore). The best opening day figures were in UP where the film has done well. This was followed by Rajasthan, Bihar, CI and CP Berar. Generally the collections in multiplexes and single screens of B and C centres are good but multiplexes of A centres like Jaipur and Ahmedabad are not as good and this is where the film has to work if it is to succeed.
The metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore were always likely to be low and that is what has happened. There should be a jump today due to the holiday for Eid but it remains to be seen how big this jump is and do the bigger cities show the growth they need to as there SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is competition.
SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN has had a low opening with collections looking to be around the 2.50 crore nett mark for day one. The film is a little better than BAREILLY KI BARFI on day one though it also had a wider release but on the other hand there was competition for BAADSHAHO which was easily going to be first choice in most places. So all in all its got some sort of platform to go on from but nothing much can be expected from these films until the weekdays or second weekend. This is when they can start making a mark and seem as if they are going somewhere if they hold up. The film will grow much better than BAADSHAHO today as reports among the limited target audience are better while BAADSHAHO which has a far larger audience have average reports.
